When troubleshooting on a specific application it is very important to identify what Blackberry Smartphone application we are using to be able to resolve the problem.Â

You can know the version of your installed software in Smartphone by following the bellows tips:

At first select Options in your Smartphone device on the display monitor.

Then click on Device Option form there.

 Now select About Device Versions option after select Device.

Now you will get detailed information about your devices. On the first line you will get the phone model name and number, in the third line you will get software version details with platform information.
You can check any Smartphone software version by use above method.

In order to determine which version of the BlackBerry Device Software you are using, complete the steps below.
The first set of instructions is intended for BlackBerry Smartphones using BlackBerry® 6 and BlackBerry® 7 OS.

Select Option on the home screen.

Select Device.

Select About Device Version.

The BlackBerry Device Software version will be the first set of numbers on the third line.
Now that we know your version of Blackberry we can now proceed on the apps installed on your blackberry.

Select Options on the home screen (this may appear within a Settings folder depending on your current theme).

Select Device followed by Application Management.

Start typing the name of the app to identify the app name and version (for example, BlackBerry® Maps 6.1.0.25).
