IDM Error: Realm Authorization Required IDM. Please Help

I am currently using IDM. I am trying to download a file from the internet using IDM. However,before the download starts, I get the error realm authorization required IDM. It asks for username and password to download the file. Please help.

IDM Error: Realm Authorization Required IDM. Please Help

If you get this error, it simply means that to download this file from the internet, you need to have the proper log in credentials. Some files are protected using private profiles (repositories) or passwords. This is done to safeguard privacy and eliminate piracy of data. However, if you are sure you do not require a password you can follow the steps below.

1. Sometimes, local Wi-Fi networks that you are connected to, also require a login. If this login has expired, IDM must be asking it to download the file.
2. Check your broadband connection. Make sure the admin hasn’t changed the network password or the dial-up connection password.
3. If the problem persists, reinstall IDM or contact your Internet Service Provider.
