IE Explorer Failed To Open The Site Error

Good Evening,

Hope someone can solve this error. Today I logged into my yahoo mail account and it just opened fine and after I had read all emails I signed it out and then explored the Google mail page, I mean Gmail account page and there Internet Explorer halted and gave an error saying that the Google mail site cannot be opened Operation failed.
 
 
Internet Explorer cannot the Internet site https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=https://mail.google.com/mail/&ss=1&scc=1&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2&emr=1&osid=1#.
 
Operation aborted
 
So, I installed Firefox and tried to open the Gmail page from their but it gave me the same error that this page cannot be accessed please contact the admin. After that I installed opera mini explorer that is normally used for mobiles. And when I accessed Google mail page from opera it got explored and I logged into my account and read all my mails.
 
So, I want you to send me a proper solution to this error message that why isn’t the Google mail page getting explored in Internet Explorer and Firefox?

Hi Mike,

This seems to be a known issue according to the same errors reported by other Gmail users.
To resolve this problem:

1. Go to the Google Toolbar. If you don’t have one, install it.

  • Go to this link:
  • It will automatically detect the browser you are using.
  • Once the page finishes loading, press Install Google Toolbar.
2. On the toolbar, instead of clicking the Gmail icon itself, click the dropdown arrow near the Gmail icon.
3. Sign in to Google mail.
4. Once you are signed in, click again the dropdown arrow.
5. This will show you a list of your unread emails.
6. Pick one.
7. Now the browser open and will display the chosen email.
8. Click the “Inbox” link.
9. If everything goes as it should, you will be taken to Gmail without any problems.
Another way to solve this problem which has also worked with some users, it to use:
Copy or type any of the above URL to your browser and see if you can go to your Google mail. You may also use Google Chrome. Since Chrome is made by Google, It should work fine with opening Gmail.

IE Explorer Failed To Open The Site Error

Hi Mike Mollen,
 
If you want to reset the IE settings to default, please follow these steps.

  1. Choose Start and in Search bar enter ‘inetcpl.cpl’ (no quotation marks) and press Enter.  Internet options window will be opened.
  2. Select tab Advanced.
  3. Select ‘Reset Internet Explorer Settings’ button.
  4. Select ‘Reset to confirm’ the operation.
  5. Choose Close after process of resetting is finished.
  6. Un-click option ‘Enable 3rd-party browser extensions’  in setting box.
  7. Choose Apply and finally OK.

You may wish to remove those 3rd party toolbars if above solution does not work. If the error still reappears again, you shall disable Firewall and Antivirus temporarily.
 
You can examine whether the error is caused by an IE Add-on.  Follow this.
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).  The issue shall be solved if the cause of error is IE Add-on.  Then you shall disable every Add-Ons individually to narrow down the cause.  Follow this Internet Explorer Add-Ons >Tools > Internet Options > Programs > Manage Add-ons > Disable.

Restart IE and repeat to check every Add-on.
