Hi,
I am using Nokia X3 from the last one year. I updated the software of my phone by using the Nokia software updater and it got updated to version 11.00. Previously when I was using version 8.60 the IM of Nokia chat was fine. But suddenly, after installation of version 11.00 it just keep saying:
"Service temporarily unavailable"
If anyone have any idea of this problem please reply me as soon as possible.

IM for Nokia chat is not working since two months
Hey Dan,
Â
Good to see you here with this question. You have updated Nokia X3 software version 8.60 to 11.00. And your IM of Nokia chat is not working right now. Some services we cannot get available after getting the phone software updated. Â We should take some necessary steps to fix these problems.
Â
It needs backup before updating so that, you can restore the service when it is unavailable. Restore the chat option from your backup. If  you  not have backup before updating your software then I would like to suggest you to visit the Ovi store and search for that particular chat service you are looking for from various chat services available (yahoo messenger, Google talk and others .I think this will help you a lot.

IM for Nokia chat is not working since two months
Hello Dan,
To resolve the issue that you're getting, you will need to try the following workarounds:
Workaround 1:
-
On your phone, you will need to go to the settings tab and after that go under the Network options.
-
You will need to set the APN settings to one of the following: APN wap.voicestream.com, User name: Password: OR APN epc.tmobile.com, Username Internet Password.
-
That should fix the problem.
-
Note that you will only have access to web browser only data for apps email and IM.
Workaround 2:
-
And then you will select your preferred email service (Gmail/Yahoo/Other)
-
After that you will enter your User-ID, PW
-
And then 'DECLINE' the terms of Services
-
Confirm the decline.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl
