How do computers manage to recognize images and differentiate between it and text? Is this the same method as how our eyes recognize images?

Hi

No it is not the same technique. Computers are not that professional in identifying row-resolution or partial images, unlike humans. Computer algorithms move from the simpler features to the more complex ones i.e. they follow a bottom-up approach. However, a human brain can carry out both bottom-up and top-down approaches simultaneously.
