Hi all,
I have recently created a book comprising of 227 pages. It is in the svg format. To edit my book I am using Inkscapewhich gives full support to svg 1.1 standard.
I am using scribus 1.4.0.rc6 to publish my book on the desktop. My problem is that I want to import the svg file to page 158 but mistakenly my file is imported to the wrong place. In fact it is imported to page 227. The size of my file is 36 MB.
The screenshots of the error are as follows:
If anyone else is experiencing the same problem, please do let me know. May be a joint discussion leads us to a solution.
Looking forward to hear from you soon
Thanks and best regards
Jack
Importing SVG error – Looking for solution
Hello Doris,
I hope you had a copy of the file that had the book in a different folder before you imported it to the application. The issue you are getting is common in the older versions of the SVG application. You will therefore need to do the following to work around that issue:
-
First of all you will need to perform an update of the SVG application so that the SVG files that do not have issues will be installed.
-
You can update the application directly on the internet or you can just download the latest package and then manually install it on your computer.
-
After that try importing the files again. You should not get issues this time round.
Regards,
Carl
