InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed.

Hi ,

I am currently working on my InfoPath form template with some changes in it. When I tried to save it, I was successful in updating the template. When I tried to go to design mode, the problem came about. Error was displayed, "the operation failed".

When I chose the OK button, InfoPath opened without the form I intended to open, but the published form is available to fill out.. As I checked my form template, it is not protected. Below is the error message.

InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed.

After much trials, unfortunately I did not succeed arriving to a solution to my problem.

Please help me with some suggestions to my problem.

Dear Chrissatate,

Thank you for your question. I’ll be happy if I can solve your problem. I badly had to know your Windows version to solve this problem effectively and easily. Although I will try to solve this:

At first I will discuss about the causes of this problem and through this, the solution.

SharePoint Administrator Team may be involved on this by jumping on this issue. They will not much interfere if you have the front end access. All I mean is that it is worked by another machine. To get rid of this, you should publish the form in same path way.
