Informatica 8.6 error during installation.

When I am trying to install Informatica 8.6 on my Windows Seven PC I am getting the following error. I have tried several times but I am not being able to install Informatica 8.6 in my PC.

Please help me fix this problem. I need to install Informatica on my PC.

Cannot start Informatica Services.

Use the error below and catalina.out and node.log in the server/tomcat/logs directory on the current machine to get more information. Select Retry to continue the installation.

Hi,

I think you must get rid of the problem if you can do what I'm saying now. First set Environment variables in Windows 7. Then you have to change the compatibility to Windows XP SP3 server and client .exe file.

Now try to install. I think your problem has been solved.

Hello Hamilton,

You can go ahead and install informatica in windows 7 as it may not be Compatible with the OS that you are using. But before reinstalling the software, you will need to  first of all change the compatibility mode on install.exe. After that you will just right mouse click on install.exe and then go to properties and then check for compatibility tab and then change the compatibility to Windows XP Service packs 2 or Windows 2000 and then click okay.
