Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) is the set of rules for the communication between printers on server and the computer systems. It helps the programs to send print jobs, perform querying, obtain status, and cancelling the print jobs. IPP runs locally or over the Net. It even supports authentication, encryption, and access control which make it more capable and secure for printing jobs. It started in 1996 and has developed to become the most sophisticated protocol till now.
