I have a free VOIP softphone named KNCTR that is running well on my HP desktop with WIN 7 Pro OS. What I want now is to also install it on my MAC. As per software, MAC is not yet supported and they cannot guarantee results. However I saw several MAC users using KNCTR, Any recommendations on how to do it?
Instal KNCTR VOIP to my MAC
Yes, it is very possible. If KNCTR is designed to run on Microsoft Windows and it doesn’t have a Mac version then there’s nothing you can do about it but you can emulate the operating system where it is designed to run as an alternative. This way, you can still use it on Mac even if it is a Windows application.
You can do this by running a virtual machine on your Mac OS X. To create a virtual machine on your computer, you can use VirtualBox to create the virtualization needed for KNCTR. Visit VirtualBox Binaries Download and download the appropriate version for your operating system. Once installed, create a virtual machine and in that virtual machine, install the supported Microsoft Windows operating system for KNCTR.
But before doing this make sure to assess the capacity of your computer because your computer should be able to support running both operating systems at the same time.
