Try to download Acrobat reader for windows once again and make sure your internet connection is stable. Try different websites and links make sure java script is enabled such as the trusted sites. Try downloading different versions of the Acrobat reader and run the .exe file, install and accept terms and conditions. You have to download separately if you are using MAC OS laptop.
If that happens every time you try to install Adobe Acrobat Reader, make sure your computer meets the requirements. Another possible reason is that you downloaded a version that is not compatible with your computer. You probably selected the wrong operating system when you downloaded the program from the Adobe website. To download it again, go to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
Here, select your correct operating system from the dropdown. Next, select the language. And then last, select the available version from the dropdown based on your selection. Configure your download by checking or unchecking other options then click “Download now” to download the program.
The current version for my operating system, Adobe Reader XI, supports Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit, Windows XP Service Pack 2 64-bit, Windows 7, and Windows 8.x including Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2. It requires 1.3 GHz or faster processor, 256 MB RAM, 320 MB free space, and 1024 x 768 screen resolution.
Alternatively, if you can’t still install Adobe Acrobat Reader, try installing Foxit Reader instead.
