Hi guys,
I have just re-installed my PC with Windows XP sp1. And I want to use msn messenger to chat with my friends, but msn messenger requires sp2. Can I install msn messenger without sp2, and how to do this?
Thanks
Install MSN Messenger on Windows XP Service Pack 1
Hello Nelson Raun,
You have nothing to worry about. You can still have the MSN Messenger without upgrading to SP2 or any other Service packs. Try any of these solutions to fix your problem;
· You can download MSN Messenger older versions that are designed for SP1 and after installation it will automatically prompt and update to the latest version compatible with SP1.
· On the other hand, you can run the same setup file in compatibility mode. Just go to Properties of the setup.exe file and under compatibility tab select “Run this program in compatibility mode for” and in the field below choose “Windows XP SP1” and click Apply.
