Install Windows 7 missing files

Hi,

I just installed Windows 7.

However, it missed to include Msvcp71.dll and Msvcr71.dll.

These are Microsoft C Runtime Library files.

I need these files to execute some programs. I have both the files but I don't know how to install them.

Can someone guide me on this?

HI

Your problem is very easy to solve since you already have the files you just need to put them in the right place just do that steps:

• Copy the two files
• Paste them in the folder c:windowssystem32 (go to drive C open the windows folder and then open system 32 folder and paste them into)

Note: If you are using windows 64-Bit you have to paste them in the folder c:windowssysWOW64

Because these folders are the system file location in windows system

Hi,

The windows operating system is a complex system that needs the right file to make it work in this case some files are missing because the installation CD is not good or corrupted is better to get the original installation CD so that you can make it work and no hassles in the long run.

Hi,

You need to download the files here if you can not find it on your installation. For 32-bit, copy the files to system32 folder while for a 64-bit, copy the files to sysWOW64 folder.

This should solve your problem.

It is also advise to run the update of your Windows 7 to have the latest version of Windows 7.
