I used CNET to get my free copy of Avira. My problem is the installation wouldn’t start because of the error message on the attached photo. I already checked system requirements and my OS, Windows XP SP2 32-bit, is compatible with Avira. It worked before on this PC so why am I having this problem now?

Installation Problem with Avira Anti Virus
Hello Robert,
Are you sure that the setup you downloaded from CNET downloads is the full setup application that you can use to install the antivirus offline, or it is a setup that will need to go online and then download the antivirus installation files and install them? You will need to check that.
If the above is the case, you will need to do the following:
-
First make sure that you are connected to the internet, and then after that run the installer you downloaded from CNET.
-
The installer will go online and then download the antivirus files and then install them.
-
You will need to make sure that you maintain a stable internet connection when the antivirus is being installed.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Carl
