I have a PC with Windows XP SP2 installed on it.
It was working fine until yesterday when computer froze and a blue screen error message appeared.
When I restarted the computer all I can see is the same blue screen error message.
What could be the possible reason why this happened and what could be the solution for the problem?

Installation of Windows XP SP2 error message
This blue screen error usually appears when Windows encounter an internal error that causes Windows to crash.
The origin of the error is between the hardware and the operating system. If the option to automatically restart whenever Windows encounter a system failure is not enabled the computer will not restart and will just hang.
Try restarting the computer in Safe mode and setting it to boot to its last known good configuration and hope that this fixes it.
-
Restart your computer. Right after BIOS starts loading press F8.
-
Windows Advanced Options Menu will display next. Choose Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked) and then hit Enter all the way.
See if the blue screen will not appear again and Windows can boot already.
If the problem is still the same, you have no choice but to format your hard drive and install Windows again.

EPUSBDSK.sys is an important process that executes dll file and locates their libraries into windows system’s memory.
With the proper running of the process, the computer and the programs on the computer will always work stably and effectively. Before trying to fix the error, please make sure whether the file is still on your computer,
(you can do this by connecting your hard drive onto another computer and search for the file).
If it’s not present, please copy it from a function computer and paste into the right directory. But the best way to fix it is by running an anti-spyware program.
Please be aware that some spyware and/or Trojans can infect or replace the EPUSBDSK.sys.
