I have a HP ProBook and wanted to replace the memory the other day. So I added two sticks of 8gb memory. Now the ProBook only sees one of the sticks.  I have taken both of them out and swapped places with the same problem each time. How do I get both sticks working?

 Hi James D Costanza

You have to determine what type of model HP Pro-Book so that we can determine if it's compatible or not. If your unit runs on 32-bit OS you can only use up an 8gb of RAM while if you use 64 bit you can use a max of 16gb of RAM.

The best way to solve this is to re-install your operating system with a 64 bit this way you can use up to 16GB of your RAM. Since you have a 16GB RAM so you will have a good performance on your unit.
