I am doing my first install and had a couple of questions? When you install Linux Ubuntu does the drivers automatically install during installation? I keep looking for them but do not seem them on the machine. What steps do I need to take to add these? Or did I skip a step and need to do another install from scratch?

Installing Drivers Automatically in Ubuntu?

Most of the drivers are automatically installed in your system when you install Ubuntu operating system. Unlike windows you do not need to install drivers separately. For windows after installing the operating system you have to install driver specific to each system model to operate it. But in Ubuntu it is already included with the operating system.

However there may be some cases where you need to install drivers separately. Like for some graphics card or wireless adapter sometime Ubuntu is unable to install the drivers automatically. In that case manually install the drivers from online.

In your installation, you have not missed anything. Try to use your system and you will not face any problem for the basic features due to drivers.
