You can add a customer relationship management application with your current accounting system. But there are few things that you have to look before making a decision to either integrate the CRM first or find the best CRM first and then integrate it.

• Before that you have to check the documentation of both the softwares that if they support the integration that you are talking about. Some accounting system don't support the integration as well as some CRM.

• Few companies do provide modules specifically for this integration purpose but mostly charge them too with the product packaging. So it is best if you can first find the best CRM solution that suits your current accounting system and then implement it.

• It is also necessary to note down the fact that for how long you will be using that CRM with your accounting system because the technology advances and sometime after you have to switch over to a new solution. So keep such factors in mind and then decide the final thing. But my vote goes for the second opinion.
