An internal error occurred during: “Install Packages” .

Hello all

As you all know about the IBM installation manager tool used to install the software packages.

This tool was already installed on my system but after I updated it to version 1.4.4, I was unable to install the IBM rational application developer for websphere software build utility version 8.0,8.0.1 or even 8.0.2.  The screenshot of the error is attached below:

 

The error reads as:

An internal error occurred during: "Install Packages" .

java.lang.NullPointerException.

Can anyone please guide me what should I do to get rid of this error message. I have tried but no success yet.

Your helpful suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hello Gustavojakee,

Thanks for sharing your problem with us, try to extract all the zip files in the same directory. After extracting all the files run the setup. Try some good extracting software for unpacking the files. You can try WinRAR to extract the files. You can download WinRAR as a trial version.
