There are only two things your internet connections should have in order to use VoIP in your computer.

Most of the service provider agree that a speed connection of 256 kbps upload and download will be able to use VOIP but the faster the speed connections the better your VOIP works.

You must have a wired internet connections in order to use VOIP. If your using WiFi you should have wired connections as well,as most people get their wifi through connecting on a router to a wired internet connections because if your only using WiFi it will not work properly on your VOIP.
