Hi guys,

I have recently installed ACDSeePro 5 on my system. Whenever I try to open the help icon followed by the contents tab, it gives me an error. The screenshot of the error is attached below:

ACDSeePro 5-internet explorer script error

Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line:           1

Char:          1

Error:          Syntex error

Code:         0

URL:          http://www.google%20analytics.com/ga js

Do you want to continue running script on this page?

                                    Yes                           No

Although I am not using internet explorer, why does it give me an internet explorer script error? I don’t know from where it appears. Instead I am using Firefox and running windows XP SP3.

Has anyone else also encountered this problem? Please shed some light on this issue. I'll be highly obliged. Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Hermione

Dear Carolfhughes,

I have read your query. You encountered this problem because of problem in HTML source code of help. Blockage of Active scripting, ActiveX controls or Java programs may also cause this problem. Corrupted or outdated DirectX components, video card drivers, scripting engine or corrupted folders may also be the reason.

To fix this problem please follow these:

  • Open Internet Options from Internet Explorer and under Advanced Tab uncheck “Display a notification about every script error”, click on and restart Internet Explorer.
  • Under the Security Tab from Internet Options, Select Default to unblock ActiveX, Active Scripting and java.
  • Under the General Tab from Internet Options, clear your browser history, cookies and all temporary internet files by clicking on Delete button under Browser History option.
  • Make sure that your Windows Release Definition and Internet Explorer have latest updates and service packs.
  • You mentioned that you are not using Internet Explorer; in that case make sure that Internet explorer is not your Default browser. So try setting the other browser as your Default Browser.

I hope it helped.
