Internet Explorer version 9 Error code 800F081e

I am using Internet Explorer 7 and decided to install its latest version which is the Internet Explorer 9 but every time I tried to run the installation, I always end up with an error with code 800F081e.

What can I do to fix it?

Internet Explorer version 9 Error code 800F081e

Hey Betha!

This error can be occurred due to many of the reasons.

Make sure that you have done each and every thing in the list below to avoid this error.

1. Minimum Requirements:

To install IE 9 your system must have

• Windows Vista (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP 2)
• Windows 7 (x86 and x64)
• Windows Server 2008 (x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 (SP 2)
• Windows Server 2008 R2 x64

2. Update Components:

You must update your windows. There is a possibility that your windows has no such components, that are required to run IE 9. So you have to update your windows.

3.  Disable Antivirus:

Before installing Internet Explorer 9, make sure that you have temporarily disable your antivirus or antispyware.

After doing all this, you will be able to install Internet Explorer 9.

Hello Bertha,

The following are the things that you will need to do in order to resolve the errors that your are getting when running internet explorer:

• First, you will need to ensure that your system meets the minimum operating system requirements.
• You will also need to make sure that you have installed the required software as well as components.
• If you have not completed the installation of other updates, you will need to do so for that may be a possible cause to the issue that you are getting.
• You will also need to temporarily disable antispyware and antivirus software and see if that will resolve the issue.
• Also try installing Internet Explorer 9 from the Microsoft Download Center.
