With respect to web designing, what do the terms Hosting and Domain signify? Do they mean the same? If not, which of the two should be done first?

Introduction to the concepts of Hosting and Domain

Hi

Domain is the keyword applied at the end of every website URL, for example, com, in, co.in, edu, etc. Hosting is making one’s web page available to the public by putting up the website and reserving a bandwidth and memory space for it. They both are entirely different concepts. Also, there is no predefined order suggesting which one of the two has to be done first. You can first purchase the domain and then buy the license or vice versa as in the end, you have to link both of these as without a web page name, you cannot host your website, neither can you apply the domain without having a license for a web page.
