Hi

A MAC is a computer designed by the Apple Company also, short for Macintosh. A PC is any IBM compatible computer with IBM microprocessors. MAC is the only computer that can function on all the operating systems like Mac OS X, Windows XP, Windows Vista, etc. MAC computers are all design oriented, unlike PCs. The speed and capacity of RAMs and other components in MACs are higher than those of PCs.

MAC has a limited variety of designs whereas PCs have more designs and hence, it can satisfy the design needs of every user. It is extremely difficult for a Mac OS X system to work on a PC whereas, a Windows operating system can be easily downloaded to an MAC computer. As most of the computers in the world run on Windows operating system, hence, they are more prone to viruses as compared to Mac systems. However, MACs too have disadvantages.

There are differences between a Mac PC and a regular PC or desktop computer. They are the same in the sense that both can be used by a person to perform different computing activities and connect to the internet. They differ in the type of applications that can be installed and used and the operating system that operates.

A Mac PC operates on Mac OS X or OS X operating system like OS X 10.9 Mavericks, OS X 10.10 Yosemite, and OS X 10.11 El Capitan. OS X 10.11 El Capitan is the latest version of the Mac operating system. A PC operates on Microsoft Windows operating system such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.

Microsoft Windows 10 is the latest operating system. Installing programs between the two operating systems are the same. You run the installer to install the application. Though they are the same in the way they install applications, they differ when it comes to uninstalling software. In a Mac PC, uninstalling a program simply means deleting it from the computer. In a PC, you cannot do that.

When you delete a program or delete the installation folder in a PC, it will not uninstall or remove the application. It is still installed. When you do this on a PC, you will only ruin the installation of the program which can result to disabling the program or causing it to be unstable.

To properly uninstall a program in a PC, you need to go to the Control Panel and then to “Add or Remove Programs”. Here, you can select which program to uninstall.
