Hi, I got this error for the first time. I am trying to install MagicJack on a Windows 7 pc. It says "Invalid Data". I have been using MagicJack with my other PC which is Vista but MagicJack is compatible with Windows 7. Any ideas? Thanks….

“Invalid Data” error during hardware installation
Hello clickmaster,
Well the main thing problem on this is the 3rd party CD burning software that may conflict in your MagicJack. I have found a better solution for this as i have found that there is no wrong with MagicJack and you could simply check the registry just follow the instructions.
Here i list the following steps that you need to do to be able to fix this conflict in your software.
1 Click Start
2 Click Run
3 Type regedit
4 Hkey_Local_Machine or simply direct to this one
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
5 Delete the "UpperFilters" entry
6 Delete the "LowerFilters" entry
7 Exit regedit
8 Finally, Reboot
And your good to go =))
