I broke a traffic signal last week. I thought I did a smart thing as there were no cops around. But I just received a fine for the crime with the photo of my number plate. Is it because of IP license plate camera?If yes, how does it work?

Well, if you think you are smart, the traffic department is smarter. This photo was captured by a camera which uses the Automatic Number Plate recognition technology. In this technology, optical character recognition is used. This also tell you if your license plate is registered. These systems use infrared light at any time of the day for the camera to take a picture. There are also many errors reported about the camera. They need to be improved.
