I got an iPhone 3G as a gift. It was running pretty smooth but then my brother suddenly updated the software through iTunes. While the update was going on there was an error with a code of 1051. Had a friend to fix it again but after fixing and switching the device on all it shows is a white screen. Can you enlighten me on the type of problem that might have happened to my phone?
Thank you.

The iPhone display has become white.
This Error 1051 commonly happened when you are trying to restore your iPhone 3GS. Try to do a hard reset by pressing the Home and the power button at the same time. And see if it will work. If not, try to connect your iPhone to your iTunes while holding the Home button. In this way you can restore your iPhone to the oroginal factory settings. But this will mean, you will lose all the existing settings on your iPhone.

Error 1015 occurs when you are doing a baseband or modem firmware restore of a higher version than the one that should come with your iPhone. So you need to make sure of your baseband or modem firmware before you try to upgrade.
