IPhone is stuck after updating to IOS 7

Hi all

After updating my iPhone to IOS 7 I get a black screen with apple logo but the phone doesn't boot up and it stuck on the same screen. How can I fix it?

Hi Ross,

You can fix your iPhone by trying a hard reset. A hard reset involves taking the following steps:

1. Pressing and holding the home and power button until the screen goes blank.

2. After the screen becomes blank, let go of the buttons and then after a while, press the power button again until the Apple logo shows up. If things go well, your iPhone should boot up successfully.

Alternatively, if this doesn’t work, you have no option but to connect your iPhone to the computer or iTunes and go through the restore process again.

Hello Ross,

You might try these following steps:

1. Connect the USB cable on your computer but not to the iPhone until step 3.

2. Turn off your iPhone (by pressing and holding the sleep/awake button for a few second).

3. While pressing and holding the Home button. Connect your USB cable into you iPhone. Your iPhone should turn on.

4. Keep on holding the Home button until the iTunes opens up. After the iTunes shows up, you may release the Home button. Let your iPhone charge for at least ten minutes. If your iPhone didn’t connect to iTunes, repeat the steps.

5. You can use iTunes to restore your iPhone.
