Ipod touch 4 screen has lines

My Ipod 4 screen is faded looking and lines and is sort of blinking, I am not sure what caused this but is there a fix for it>

Hello there,

I suggest that you do a hardware reset in your i-pod in order to return it to the factory settings. This solves many problems in mosts cases. I will provide you with the step by step procedure apple suggests to its customers. Check the link here. If the problem persists after following these steps then its a hardware problem and you should contact apple to repair your i-pod
