The 0xc0000142 error pops up when I install a game and open it Windows 10. I do not understand how to solve the error. Is there any way to fix it?

The 0xc0000142 occurs due to corrupt or missing files. Here are a few fixes for you.

Method 1

a. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
b. Type Regedit and press enter.
c. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE, then Microsoft, then Windows NT, then CurrentVersion, then Windows.

d. On the right pane, double-click on LoadAppInit_Dll.
e. Change Value data to 0.
f. Save the changes.
