The 50.5 fuser error occurs when you attach an incompatible fuser to your printer. This can be considered as a small mistake on the part of the vendor to provide you with the incorrect fuser. For eg., you have an HP LaserJet 4250, and you have attached a fuser for the HP LaserJet 4300. This can happen as the HP fusers are very identical when seen from the outside.

The error can also occur if the fuser temperature becomes too hot. Try these troubleshooting steps –

a. Turn off your printer by pressing the power button.
b. Take out the power cord.
c. Wait for half an hour.
d. Connect the power cord.
e. Power on the printer.
f. Try to print.

If the above steps did not work, all you need to do is ask the vendor to replace your fuser with the correct one. Check your fuser number from the HP website or directly contact the support for the same.
