If this is the first time it happens on your application, try restarting your computer then try it again. This usually happens on new installations because sometimes the program needs to update the system for the changes to take effect and to do this rebooting the computer is necessary.
But if you don’t want to restart your computer because of other unfinished task, you can refresh your system without rebooting your machine. Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to activate your Windows Task Manager.
Another way is to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Next is to go to the Processes tab then locate and select explorer.exe.
After selecting the file, click End Process to close the program. Click Yes to confirm. After this, click File then New Task (Run). Type explorer.exe or simply explorer then hit OK and that’s it.
Try doing a clean installation of the program again to restore it to its default configuration and remove possible corrupted files as well. Uninstall Maxthon then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. Install Maxthon again after this and see if this fixes it.
If it still doesn’t work or a different problem arises, try downloading the latest version of Maxthon. Maxthon 3 is already available and works on Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. To download this latest release, visit maxthon browser.
