Issue on installing AutoCAD 2012 64bit version

Hello,

Please help in resolving my issue…

I downloaded the 64 bit version of the latest AutoCAD 2012 and when trying to install it, after almost 50% completion of the software installation it stopped installing and all I have on my screen is this creepy error:

1: 5 2: adlmPITSetProductInformation failed. 3: 2

Someone told me to delete the product information to override this error, but it did not help at all.

I am requesting you all to please help me out of this situation as I have to submit my class assignment and all I am doing is wasting my time trying to install it again and again.

Please HELP!

Issue on installing AutoCAD 2012 64bit version

 

This is an unfortunate corruption of your license.  Deleting the PIT file and reinstalling should fix it.

 The error message "adlmPITRemoveProductInformation failed" signifies the possibility of corruption in the

 

"ProductInformation.pit" file. To be able to resolve this one, you have to remove the file manually and then repeat the installation process.

 

Please  find the "ProductInformation.pit" in this specific location:

Microsoft Windows XP

C:Documents and settingsAll UsersApplication DataAutodeskADLMProductInformation.pit

 

Microsoft Windows 7

 

C:ProgramDataAutodeskADLMProductInformation.pit

And if this folder exists, you might remove it too. 

C:Program FilesCommon FilesAutodesk SharedadlmR1
