Issues IE8 in opening PDF File

Hi!

I have here a problem which I hope anyone could help me out…

Whenever my friend opens PDF in IE8 an error message pops-up as seen below and when clicked ok it opens the PDF file. 

Please provide me a solution.

The plug-in can't start the Broker.

Issues IE8 in opening PDF File

Hello Carla Santos.

The error comes from FileOpen PDF Control.  It is an encryptor for protecting PDF files from unauthorized copying, printing, editing, etc.  To open FileOpen-encrypted PDF files, a plug-in needs to be installed for Acrobat Reader.  Based on your screenshot, it is FileOpen that is generating the error, not IE nor Adobe Reader.

To fix it, try reinstalling the FileOpen plug-in.

If you download PDF files from their sites, then you should keep the FileOpen plug-in.  If not, you can remove it if it’s giving you problems.
