Hi Experts! I have a simple query and I need a complete explanation. My question is, if it's possible to connect computers that belong with the same workgroups? If so, how essential it is and how to set it up correctly? The purpose is to share resources between computers and workgroups. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Connecting PC with the same Workgroups
Hello,
No this is not necessary to connect in workgroup all the PCs. Unless that's how the server/s are set up.
Thanks
Connecting PC with the same Workgroups
I’m not really sure if the previous post is correct. If you are planning to connect several computers to form a network or in other words, to create a Local Area Network [LAN], assigning a workgroup is very important. All of the computers in a local area network should all have the same workgroup assignments. All of the machines should be using the same workgroup name. If there is one workstation that belongs to a different workgroup or is using a different workgroup name, that computer won’t be listed over the network.
To assign or change a computer’s workgroup, right-click on My Computer then select Properties. Under Computer Name tab, click the Change button located just below the Network ID button. Under Workgroup field, enter the new workgroup name of the workstation then click OK. Just restart your computer when the system asks to apply the new workgroup name.
