Hello TechyV,
Good day to all!
I have a query.
In my home there is no telephone network (it is very old), is it possible to have the phone cord directly into my house? And at the same time can I connect to internet, but I don’t need the phone connection.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Good day Jamin,
Regarding your query, coming from a pole or a network box? that is not possible. The setup goes like this, from a pole or from those network boxes near your premise a wire shall then be laid out going to your house which is typically a commercial grade network cable to ensure signal quality. Now at the end of it, a box will be installed to change the connection type into now a phone cord. It isn't necessary for you to get a phone service together with an internet service. It just so happen that either of the two uses the same type of connection. Â

Dear Jemin,
The answer to your question is yes. You can connect to the Internet via phone cord and you don’t need to use the phone connection. But as my personal experience it wouldn’t be a good idea at all cause many times phone lines can’t supply you the desired bandwidth as you expect. So, it’d be better if you get a broad band line and enjoy the Internet.
