Hi!
Is it possible for me to upgrade my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop that has a Random Access Memory (RAM) of 1.0 GB? If so, I was planning on upgrading it to either 2.0 or 3.0 GB, would that be okay, or if not, how much upgrade should I do? Thank you in advance for your response.

For sure you can upgrade your Dell Inspiron computer that is currently running on a 1 GB memory capacity to a higher memory to improve its performance. It will depend on what you want to use the computer mostly for. If for instance you want to be using the computer mostly for gaming or performing some other tasks that are memory intensive and requires the high speed performance of the computer, you will need to have a RAM capacity of not less than 4 GB. But for light tasks like word processing and file transfer and editing of files, a 2 GB memory will work just fine for you.

Hi,
The maximum allowable RAM for your Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop is only 2 Gigabyte. It should not go beyond that. Your laptop has two slots, so if you have one 1 GB RAM, you can just add one more 1 GB RAM, Or if you have two 512 MB RAM, it will be up to you if you will replace both of its ore just add one 1 GB RAM.
Here is its memory type for your intended upgrade: PC2-4200/5300 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM
Hope it helps.
