Hello,
I want to buy a network adapter for my Windows 7 machine. I found an apple network adapter from my friend and he says that he is not sure whether it will work or not. So anybody knows about this please help me.
Thank you.
Is it possible to use apple network adapter for windows operating system?
Hi Kelseyy!
It is plausible for a Windows 7 machine to detect the Apple network adapter.
The Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter is designed specifically for Apple Machines which have Thunderbolt ports. Not all Windows based machines have a Thunderbolt port incorporated in their hardware.
The only non-Apple machines that have a Thunderbolt port are the Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook and Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430; both laptops are relatively new. If your machine is one of these laptops, you can try the network adapter yourself.

Ma’am,
Your solution is “Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter” which lets you to easily connect high-performance to your “Windows OS” too. To have this on Windows you need to follow:
1. Download it’s driver. Now unzip the drivers to our folder.
2. Connect your adapter to “Thunderbolt” port.
3. Reboot your system. After rebooting your system will automatically detect the new adapter. Let it be just provide it’s destination folder.
4. After 3rd Step you have to reboot for one more time with the adapter plugged-in to the “Thunderbolt” port to finish this process.
