Is it worth to upgrade to OS Yosemite?

I have MacBook Air which I bought last Christmas. OS Yosemite was released few days ago and many people have dropped complains regarding its performance. Some of them say that it slows down the system and some say that it is worth to upgrade. What are the new features in OS Yosemite?

Is it worth to upgrade to OS Yosemite?

Hi Stephen,

 

Apple OS X Yosemite which is the 10th version is available as a free upgrade and has the following enhancements.

 

1 Refreshing Look and Feel.

2  Notification Center has more information now, including a Today panel linked to your Calendar.

3 Calculator is available in Spotlight now. 

Instead of calculations in the Google , press Cmd-Space for Spotlight and input the mathematical operations in the search bar which can be copied and pasted to another app.

4 With one toolbar at the top, old bookmarks can be made available by simply enabling it in a menu in Safari.

5 A dropdown menu ensuring quick addition of a Bcc and other address fields.

6 FaceTime and incoming Phone calls can be attended from your Mac by clicking on the phone icon.

7 AirDrop with file transferring features is now capable of restricting this to devices that are only tagged to certain contacts.
