Joomla! error in installation of mobile version

Hello friends,

I am using JOOMLA! version 1.5.23 and I have also downloaded its mobile version.

The program is pretty interesting but running it is quite frustrating because when I installed it, I found this error message:

"JFile::read: Unable to open file: 'C: xampphtdocsJoomla 1.5.23tmp/gzip4e8d8535cbe94'

Unable to read archive"

What should I do? Please help me.

Dear Jreyes, try to do this please as I understand your question.

Looks such like you acquire a proxy server between your website and mobile joomla.com that incorrectly processes live gzip-compressed noesis.

I harbor any agent server between my tract and added servers (I utilize hosting of my hosting provider).

The soul root to route it is to manually download

So after downloading the package in root of site you will have to re-install JOOMLA.

Hi there Jreyes,

 

The error you're getting says that your mobile phone is not able to read, open or unpack the archive.

 

First thing you should try is to unpack the archive manually, place it in the temp folder and then do the manual install.

 

Please, follow the steps from the following link for how to manually install addons.

 

There is also a slight possibility that your system have some problems with tar.gz files, so another thing to try is to change the file format from tar.gz to simple zip.

 

To do that, unpack the package and rezip the folder it as a zip archive.
