The smartphone encountered a Java® Virtual Machine (JVM®) application related problem and is unable to continue running.
1. Perform a hard reset by removing the battery from the smartphone and reinserting it.
2. Ensure that the smartphone is running the most current version of BlackBerry Device Software. For more information on this procedure visit the site.
3. If the error message persists, or if the smartphone is already running the most current version of BlackBerry Device Software.
4. To help further diagnose the cause, contact your wireless service provider or BlackBerry® Technical Support Services for further review and support.
JVM 523 error on Blackberry® smartphone means the Blackberry smartphone encountered a Java™ Virtual Machine (JVM) application related problem and is unable to continue running. So Blackberry smartphone will display a solid white screen and error message.
Fixing the problem: Please do hard reset and it may solve your problem. But before this you should backup your data. If it restart successfully then it is okay.
If it does not work then try web-based Blackberry device software update. Are you sure that your phone running the current version of Blackberry Device Software?
The problem you faced do not occur in new version. However if it occur then further investigation is required.
