Hi all,
My pc crashed and after repair it works perfectly except for a few days, a message asking me to enter a product key to activate windows. When I note the windows key which is under my laptop, it does not work. I do not understand why this key does not work.
If someone has already encountered this problem, tell me how it was resolved.
Thank you all in advance.
Original Product Key not working
You need to enter the product key that comes with Windows 7 OS. There is also a possibility that the product key was mistyped. Try to retype the key.
Another reason for this kind of issue is that the product key that you have entered on the system doesn’t match the version of the Windows 7 that is installed on the computer. I would suggest that you re-install your Windows 7 operating system with the current version of windows running. To verify that the key that you have noted under your laptop is the correct key, please check the product key sticker inside the windows package.

Original Product Key not working
The Windows 7 operating system version that you used to repair/reinstall Windows in your computer may not coincide with what the product key in your computer is for.
Try and see if your computer came with its own Windows 7 media. Since you have a sticker for the product key of the operating system installed in your computer, the operating system installed originally in your system is from your OEM.
It's still licensed, but when you install Windows using the OEM media that came with the computer, it shouldn't be asking you for the product key anymore and will just go through the installation without that step.
