Laptop with loose USB ports

Hi there,

I have this Acer E1-571 laptop which has very loose USB port to extend that connection to the ports are poor and not well in contact, I am assuming this is very dangerous since the contacts can short the MOBO if I push a flash drive or something in there, how can I solve this problem ?

Laptop with loose USB ports

Loose USB are dangerous. If you continue to use it there may be short-circuit. You may loose data or sometimes the hardware will not be detected. If the laptop is under warranty, you should visit the nearest service center where the technician will replace it. If there are no valid warranty left, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

Alternatively, you are free to open the laptop. The USB port may have got enlarged so you need to press it to bring them in original form.

Get a USB hub, insert it and problem fixed. You can use the hub for connecting your devices.
