Hi Folks,
I am using HP HDX X18-1001TX Premium Notebook PC. This has been my laptop for months now and I am very much careful in using it. Also, in addition, I am the only one using the laptop.
Now my problem is, I am having a problem with its display. Whenever I touch the cover of my laptop, the display turns pink and green lines. I know I did not drop it to disrupt its display. I am pretty sure that the video card is still okay. So, I first did an update of the driver, but it just won’t fix the issue.
Does it have something to do with the cover/lid’s wiring or something?
Regards,
Keith

Laptop screen will turn on pink and green.
Hello Keith Lively,
If you see your laptop screen, change colors when you touch either the back of the screen or any portion of the screen as if it is  sensitive to movement, then that would mean, that your laptop's screen is almost broken.
Â
There are two possible causes for this. One possible cause is the dropping of your laptop on  solid ground. Another possible cause, is the possibility of having it compressed, like being accidentally seated, or accidentally placed underneath a heavy object.Â
Â
Laptop screens are very sensitive, in the sense that it's thickness is not that capable of withstanding pressure or weight. One possible fix for that is, to bring it to your local laptop repair center. It is just very delicate and if you open the screen, it might worsen the laptop's current status.

It seems that, your laptop screen got damaged from inside. It must very old or fall from height. The problem will not resolve by updating drivers. Only solution for this problem is to change screen.
