Hello,
There could be several reasons why you're unable to connect to the internet. I will highlight few possible ones and you can try to verify which one seems to apply to your situation:
If your problem does not match these three scenarios then you may consider seeking help from your vendor, warranty centers can help too as long as your warranty period has not expired.
That is a common complaint. Check to make sure that you type the URL properly (website address) and you do not miss a word or character.
Another possible cause is your laptop may be missing some drivers, in this case the drivers that support wireless connectivity.
Thank you both for your responses. However I have done all that you have proposed but I still cannot connect, if I could start with guru tech's solutions. My laptop has WiFi, WiFi is turned on.
I am not too far away from the signal and the second opinion from ask me anything did not work either. I have checked my laptop for missing drivers, but they are all installed. Thanks.
In that case you could try this, is the WiFi service secure? That means is it protected/encrypted?
If so then you need a password to be able to log into the service and start using internet.
Find out from the WiFi providers at the location you are in whether the Wi-Fi is password protected or not.
If you have tried all these solutions and you still have trouble logging in, one more solution that might solve the problem is clearing cache.
Every time you visit a website, the computer saves the web pages you have visited and these files are stored in a cache file in the computer.
The cache can get full and eventually affect the performance of the computer, but by clearing the cache you free up space and optimize speed including how fast the browser connects to the internet.
To clear cache you need to know your browser version first.
Great! I have cleared the cache and restarted the computer, and it worked, thanks so much for all your help.
That is a common complaint. Check to make restart old setting. Then softener instead properly. Your laptop may be missing some drivers, in this case the drivers that support wireless connectivity.
May be help you.
I'm glad there is a thread about this topic. I have the same problem. Thank you very much Askme anything. I checked my Device Manager and found out that no network adapter is installed.
After downloading a new network adapter driver, I can easily connect to a WiFi connection.
