Hi,
There have been many updates of the expression engine. The latest version is the Expression engine 2.5.3. It has a lot of new features that are not available in version 1.x. You can easily update to the latest version. To update to the latest version follow the steps below:
1. Go to https://expressionengine.com/ and download the file version 2.5.3. Save the setup file on the desktop.
2. Run the setup file and install the update on your computer. To setup file is in a zip file so you need WinRAR to unzip the files and then run the setup file.
3. When the setup starts installing it will ask whether you want to install the whole package or just update the version. Select update to 2.5.3 and click next. Follow the instructions on the screen and install the software.
