Nokia Lumia 800, a modified N9, was the first Windows 7 phone of the Finnish mobile brand Nokia. The CEO Stephen Elop called it, "the first real Windows Phone." and he believed that "it is the first ever instantiation of the Windows Phone platform that properly embodies, complements and amplifies the design sensibilities of Windows Phone" quoted from this site https://mobile.slashdot.org/story/11/10/26/1426228/nokia-unveils-its-first-windows-7-phone.
It was first launched in Europe, London specifically, at around October 2011 and only in 2012 was it launched in America. But it was introduced by its CEO on June 22, 2011. You can check out a video here:
The first Windows Phone 7 – OS powered smartphone from Nokia was the Nokia Lumia 800. It was launched on October 26, 2011 at the Nokia World 2011 event. Its design is similar to the Meego-based Nokia N9 but they have differences as well. Lumia 800 has smaller screen which has 3.7” compared to the N9 which has 3.9” screen.
Nokia also added a dedicated camera button which is located at the right side of the phone and a dual LED flash directly above the camera lens. Despite of their design similarities, their chipsets are different. Lumia 800’s chipset comes from Qualcomm while the N9’s chipset was based on Texas Instruments OMAP.The first Windows Phone 7 – OS powered smartphone from Nokia was the Nokia Lumia 800.
