I’m not sure if we can refer this to compatibility issue because Zoom Player can work on any operating system and it actually doesn’t require a specific operating system or hardware to work. So I’m sure it will work on your Windows Vista. Since the error seems to be related to the memory, try restarting the computer and try again. If it is a random error, it will not display an error.
If a similar error appears, try reinstalling Zoom Player. Uninstall Zoom Player then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and then click OK. Check “Temporary files” and “Setup log”, click OK then Delete Files. Restart the computer and then install the application back. If it doesn’t work, run the application as administrator.
Right-click on the program’s shortcut then select Properties. Select Compatibility tab then check “Run this program as an administrator” under “Privilege level” section and then click OK. Start Zoom Player again then see if it works. If the problem continues, upgrade your current version to the latest. Download Zoom Player 9.1. It may also help if you will update your operating system to the latest Service Pack.
For Microsoft Windows Vista, the latest and last Service Pack is Service Pack 2. Download Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and update your operating system.
