I just have a query about upgrade windows 2008 to r2. I have no idea regarding this concept at all.

Learn About Upgrade Windows 2008 To R2 In Detail.

Like Christopher used to say, Windows Server 2008 is a one version old Windows server.  The release of R2 does not have any effect on Windows Server 2008 which any other server does on an old product. It is the next version, not an update. So, the cycle of 2008 stays the same as it always was. There are no new features since that is something left for the current release.
