Citrix Systems is an American multinational company which offers server, software, application and desktop virtualization, software as a service (SaaS), networking,and cloud computing tools. It was founded in Richardson, Texas in the year 1989 by Ed Iacobucci, who was the chairman until his departure in the year 2000.

The company was developing remote access products initially for Microsoft operating systems.
